Àite airson Gnìomhachas: Hynish Calling

Exciting Developments at the Skerryvore Lighthouse Shore Station!

There’s a buzz in the air at Hynish, and for good reason. The Shore Station is coming alive: funding applications are in motion, a Rural Tourism Infrastructure grant has been awarded, The Cottage is being transformed for long-term local lease, and the Skerryvore Studio is already sparking creativity with 2 local artists in situ.

Looking Ahead – Space for Local Enterprises

The Hynish Trust is looking to the future by exploring new ways to support the island’s economy. Several buildings at Hynish are being considered for re-purposing into spaces for local commercial use. The idea? To offer affordable rental opportunities to Tiree residents ready to take their business ideas from dream to reality. While this initiative is still in its early days, we’re keen to hear from local entrepreneurs, creatives, and community organisations who might be interested in making Hynish their base once spaces become available, likely from early 2026.
